The Carol Stewart Memorial Weekend – 21-22 November 2026
Entries are now open at Fabian4.co.uk for both the WNL and Soudley League races, and the event details have been updated to reflect progress with the planning and logistics for these events. Please have a read, and in particular think about whether you can help on the day – at least for Soudley – and if so whether it’s worth entering early to get a start slot of your choice.
We will update the details from time to time, in particular with regard to road works, prevalent in the Forest of Dean and ever changing, and also the weather – this event has form in that respect – so check back regularly.
The Carol Stewart Memorial Orienteering Weekend – 21-22 November 2026
Carol Stewart was a much loved member of NGOC for many years, one of our longest serving volunteers, and the face of the club at so many of our events, running Registration, dibber hire, EOD and a multitude of other small but essential things needed to make events run smoothly. She died suddenly last Summer, and it is fitting that we dedicate our ‘double double’ event weekend in November to her memory. Read on to find out what we have in store for you – night and league racing, the Army Long Distance Championships and much else….

Nottingham Hill Results
By all accounts a hot day, challenging courses, but a good day out on the Cotswolds. Many thanks especially to Greg, Organiser, planner, persuader of several landowners, toilet mover and many other things, all geared towards giving you all a new area and event in which to run.
Apologies to those on Red and Yellow courses for the mix up between course and entry classes – the B team were on duty in event setup, and being rather rusty got it wrong, but the on the day download B team managed to sort it all out very efficiently.
Results and Routegadget are now posted on the Results page here, and colours times and standings will appear in due course, when the A team are back from wherever they’ve been!
The 2026 AGM
Our AGM will take place on Monday 5th October in The Old School at Highnam Community Centre, Newent Road, Highnam, Gloucester GL2 8DG.
There will be a complimentary pre-meeting buffet at 19:15-19:45 followed by AGM business. The meeting will finish about 21:00. Please help us to assess numbers for the buffet and the meeting, by letting us know if you plan to attend. You can do that by completing the short form here.
If you wish to raise a motion for discussion at the AGM, whether attending or not, you need to do this as soon as possible, and before Saturday 26th September at the latest, by completing the form referred to above.

Entries for the Chair’s Challenge at Elton Mazes on Saturday 5 September are now open at Fabian4.co.uk, so head over there and sign up. We would very much appreciate early sign up so that we can keep track of demand for maps and particularly food!
