Sadly we have now heard formally from the Forest Commission that our permission to run in the forest on Sunday has been withdrawn. An hour ago we understood that it was our decision, and we were going to go ahead, but now some higher authority in FC has told us we cannot hold the event. Clearly this decision applies to both the orienteering and trail courses.
We do, however, have agreement from both FC and the assembly site owner to stage the event on Sunday week, 23rd February, and so please mark that date in your diaries, and come and join us then. If you have pre-entered, you entry will be valid for next weekend. If you have pre-entered but know you are unable to make it next weekend, please drop a note to equipment@ngoc.org.uk before the end of next Tuesday, 18th February, and we will hold your entry as a credit against a future event. After that we will assume you are coming on Sunday week.
The trail will of course also be set up on Sunday week, and ready to greet anyone looking for a good long run.
As usual, entry on the day is available for both orienteering and trail courses, but Fabian for pre-entry is now available again, until midnight on Friday 21st February, so if you can now make our rescheduled date, please pre-enter if you can, at:
Please note that as before there is no pre-entry for the trail – just turn up and enter on the day.
