Tewkesbury 2022

The 2022 Tewkesbury race is different from our usual ones; it is based on a proper Orienteering map, rather than the simplified ones based on Open Street Map, and it has 45 controls (yes, 45!) concentrated mainly around the town centre and inner suburbs. All controls are worth 10 points, and with careful planning, and thorough checking that you have been to all of them, a full house is possible. You just have to be very alert to the maze of alleyways and passages around the heart of the town. The map scale is 1:5,000, not the usual 1:10,000, so things come up a lot quicker that you might expect.
