Parkend 7Km Trail

This is a forest Trail of about a 7km marked course(on the map, not on the ground). The aim of this kind of trail is to provide a route that can be followed on your phone, and/or map, but one which offers opportunities for the more adventurous to cut corners and so both save time, and build nav confidence. As long as you visit the checkpoints('controls') in the right order, it's up to you how to get to them. There is often a more direct path route, and always scope for going cross-country!

Note that as a Start Anywhere course, you don't have to start at the designated start....you can start at any control, but must then visit the controls in order, taking in the designated start/finish en route as just another control, and finishing where you started. You must, however, have maprunF v4.8.8 or later(eg MapRun6) installed on your phone to take advantage of this facility.

Please note that the start and finish on the printable map in the link below are slightly different from those described here, as the printed map was used for the the Beat the Trail event staged over this course. You can download and print this map to run with, but check your phone map for the actual start/Finish location.
