Welcome to our October League and Local event at Flaxley Woods, and thank you to Forestry England for giving permission to use these woods.
This race takes place in part in the heart of Gloucester, and in part in the Alney Island Nature Reserve, which is just across the river from the town centre, and will provide nice variety in the course.
This league event is being held at Mallards Pike in the Forest of Dean prior to the Junior Inter-Regional Championships which will start immediately afterwards.
Following the unusual Odds and Evens format at Newnham, we return to the traditional standard score format for this race around the North East quadrant of Hereford - the first time we have run in this part of the city.
This will be a race with a difference!
The annual NGOC Chairman's Challenge is back after a few years absence from our orienteering calendar!
We are back in the good old Forest of Dean for this race, with a lovely mix of suburban and woodland running, taking in the new development on the edge of Berry Hill
NOTE to all MAPRUNNERS.
The town of Stroud nestles in the Cotswold valleys and offers an intriguing mix of historic town centre, restored canals, hilly suburbs and leafy Stratford Park.
After Cirencester we cross to the opposite side of our patch for this race, in the delightful country town of Ledbury, where our last MapRun was way back in early 2020.
This is the rescheduled event previously postponed from the 13th of June.
