Bishops Cleeve Results
Thanks to Cleeve School for permission to use their facilities enabling us to add a short technical area within their grounds as a finale to all courses. Bishop’s Cleeve presented me with some challenges as a novice planner but I hope that the courses were interesting and showcased what the village has to offer. The weather, although cooler than the previous two weeks, remained favourable and conditions underfoot were good. Thanks for coming along and hope to see you at the next NGOC League event at Newent Woods on 4 May.
A big thank you to the posse of volunteers without whom the event would not have run so smoothly.

Thornbury MapRun – Thursday 24 April
If you have been ultra keen and have already downloaded the Thornbury MapRun in readiness for the day, you need to download it again. We have had to alter the course slightly due to the recent closure of two footpath bridges. It is unclear when/if they will re-open, so we have adapted the course accordingly, and have deleted and re-published the course.

CompassSport Cup Heats
Huge congratulations to everyone who braved the wind and rain on Sunday to see us beat both BOK and DEVON and win our heat of the CompassSport Cup. There were noteworthy performances across the board, with the juniors doing extremely well, but strong representation on the scoreboard across all age classes; perhaps the first time for a long time that we have had scorers on all 12 courses. The final is on 14th September on sand dunes at South Gare, near Redcar, hosted by CLOK, so that promises to be a different experience and good fun. Save the date!
WNL Crickley Hill – 8 March

Today we started up the NGOC 2025 League, with a cold but lovely day at Mallards Pike. Many thanks to The Tauntons for courses taking us around the ditch-free part of the area, and of course to all their helpers.
