We have, somewhat belatedly, publish results and standing for the 3 MapRun this year, at Abbeydale. Apologies for the delay, caused by the very busy BUCS weekend and then my inheriting a grim head cold from someone or other, leaving me very zombie-like.
However, that’s on the way out, and I am pleased to say that we have now finalised and published the second quarter MapRun, thanks to those who have come forward to plan one. You can see the schedule on the Events page, but it goes like this….

- Thursday 30 April, Chosen Hill (Gloucester), Richard Mawer
- Thursday 7 May, Catbrook (Forest of Dean), Dave Andrews
- Thursday 4 June, St Briavels Common (Forest of Dean), Andy Stott
- Thursday 18 June, Colwall (Gloucester and North West), Rhys Manning
The schedule is necessarily compressed by the JK weekend and availability of planners, but we have achieved the planned broad split between events towards the South and West of our patch, and those more North and East, for MapRunners from up in those parts.
We are hoping that we can arrange a pub or whatever of the evening at some of these races, to try and improve the socialising that normally happens standing around in the car park.
