BUCS/League – Merthyr Mawr – Saturday 14 March 2026
You'll have seen from the Event Programme that on Saturday 14 March, alongside our league, and as a Regional event, we host both a Welsh league and the British Universities and Colleges Sport (BUCS) Orienteering Championships, on the challenging terrain at Merthyr Mawr that many of us last visited on Day 1 of Croeso 2024. As well as BUCS, this is a selection race for the World Universities Orienteering Championships, in Portugal later this year, so there will be some very good young orienteers going for college glory and national selection, as well as a good few local runners who have recently gone off to Uni and will be running in new colours.
Look out for more details here soon. We will need plenty of volunteers, but it will be a great day, and a great chance to run on terrain both challenging and quite unlike what we are used to.
