Using this small section of the Mallard Pike map introduced some rarely used terrain and I hope you enjoyed the contrast between navigating over rocky slopes and flat mossy ditches. Forest England required us to switch to the Mallard Pike Car Park at a late stage, (I hope you all found a space), this meant there were some necessary compromises in the planning but I hope you found your course interesting.
Thanks of course to all the NGOC helpers who do most of the work on the day and especially to Pat who always does more than his fair share.
