As notified in the last month of emails, the AGM is fast approaching, on Wednesday 17th October. It will be held in Room TC218A on Oxstalls Campus of the University of Gloucestershire. The agenda and the committee reports are now available on the Reference page, or from the links below:
One of the main items we’d like to discuss during the informal discussion time is the 2018 League. There are proposals for improving the League, beginning with 2018, but the best way to determine how to proceed is by getting the views of as many members as possible. Please read the proposals beforehand (linked below), mull them over, and come to the AGM with your thoughts. Anyone unable to make the AGM is very welcome to reply to this email with any thoughts, which I will take to the discussion.
2018 League Propsals
Other ideas for discussion include:
- The Orienteering Foundation’s Coaching Day in February 2018
- The future of Legend
- [Other suggestions still very welcome, either before or during the discussion]
Remember, the evening begins at 7pm with a buffet of sandwiches, savoury snacks, homemade cake/biscuits, fruit and hot and cold drinks. This will be followed by an informal discussion of topics including (but not limited to) those mentioned above, at 7:30, after which the AGM itself will take place. If you haven’t been to the Teaching Centre (TC) at Oxstalls before, then enter the main building at the main reception entrance (~100m to the right of the large Growth Hub sign on the building), then turn left and continue through double doors and along the corridor to the end. TC218A is on the second floor, so you need to either take the lift or go through the doors to the stairwell. The second floor doesn’t have many rooms, so it will then be easy to tell where we are.
